Hike Day 8: Kebnekaise to Nikkaluokta >> 19 km

This was to be the last day of hike. The hike was pretty basic through the hilly forests. It had rained the last night, so most of the route was quite muddy. To add to our woes, the mosquitoes were out with full vengeance!

There was the possibility to take a boat ride in the midway, on Lake Ladtjojarvi, to avoid hiking about 7 km. But, we successfully managed to hike the entire leg. The last few kilometres to Nikkaluokta were pretty easy across the gravel path.

Nikkaluokta camping ground rents out tenting spots. Also, there are kitchen, sauna and shower facilities. We paid about 9 Euros per person for the night. And yes, our luggage with fresh clothes was also waiting for us at reception (remember, in the Planning and reaching there section, I mentioned that we had sent a piece of baggage by post from Abisko mountain station to Nikkaluokta!)
