Day 5: Break at Sälka

This break was pre-planned and totally worth it! Also, we were glad that we chose Sälka for it. Sälka was by far, the most beautiful place we had camped. We took lazy strolls in the lush greenery and along the playful rivers' banks.

Sälka has multiple STF huts and also a sauna. We were running out of rations, so we restocked food. We tented next to a rapid, washed clothes, dried them, cooked a wholesome lunch, drank beer, did sauna and chatted with fellow hikers who shared their diverse experiences. At night we slept like a log. The plan was to start for Singi very early the next day.
